He was predeceased by: his parents, Harriett Graham and James Ernest Boatwright, Sr.; and his siblings, James Ernest Boatwright Jr. and Averill Boatwright Courtney. He is survived by: his wife Jennie Herlong Boatwright; his children, Emile P. Boatwright Jr., Jane Boatwright Schwab (Nelson), Sarah Boatwright Schwarz (Jack) and Nancy Boatwright Holt (Ken); his granddaughters, Nancy Schwarz Lowry (John), Emily Schwarz Bull (William) and Claire Holt; and his great grandchildren, Miller Lowry, Margaret Lowry and Sarah Bull.
