It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Steve Penland (Richburg, South Carolina), born in Asheville, North Carolina, who passed away on September 17, 2018, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer William Penland and Ruby Rogers Penland; his brother Wayne Penland; his granddaughter Ashley Nichole Penland; and his brother-in-law Herman "Pinky" Revis.
He is survived by: his children, Randall Penland (Kim), Dewayne Penland (Tyffany), Darell Penland (Tonya), Darrin Penland (Kerry), Rhonda McLaughlin (Aaron Cape) and Regina Gosnell (Kenny); his friend Patricia Penland; and his sisters, Hazel Rogers, Judy Revis and Emma Buckner.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Penland's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
