She was predeceased by: her parents, Emmitt Brakefield and Maude Brakefield; her husband William Earle Cauthen, Sr.; and her siblings, Dot Lakey, Gladys Goodwin, Evelyn Duncan and Howard Brakefield.
She is survived by: her son William E "Buck" Cauthen (Melissa) of Fort Mill, SC.; her grandchildren, William E. Cauthen, III (Alexis), Samuel Cauthen (Jean), Jack Cauthen, Casey Cauthen and Riley Cauthen; her great grandchild Sammy; her son Bruce E. Cauthen (Renee Cauthen) of Rock Hill, SC.; and her grandchildren, Kyzer Cauthen (Amanda), Cattlyn Oakes (Brent), Carissa Walker (Danny) and Mackenzie Nivens (Stephen). She is also survived by her Grandchildren and especially her Great Grandchildren.
