She was predeceased by: her parents, James Lewis (Jim) and Lillie Lewis; her husband Thomas Grafton, Jr.; and her siblings, Thomas J. Lewis, Henry E. Lewis, Diccie Mae (Lewis), Allsbrook and John C. Lewis.
She is survived by: her adoptive children, Philip Caldwell of Salisbury, NC. and Valire Carr Copeland; her nieces and nephews, Leonia Jones (Barry), Lillie M. Lee, Charlotte, Jerry Allsbrook (Madelaine) and Clinton, MD; and her godchildren, Sabrina Jones and Tory Jones. She is also survived by great-great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In her childhood, she joined Love and Charity Baptist Church in Richburg, SC.
