She was predeceased by: her parents, Marion Hugo Black and Ina Etheridge Black; her husband Jimmy Simpson; and her siblings, Marion Black and Irene Black Rhoad.
She is survived by: her children, Shannon Simpson of Edgemoor, SC, Libby Marlowe (Jason) of Monroe, NC and Jay Simpson (Michelle) of Greenville, SC; her brother John Black (Anne) of Santee, SC; and her grandchildren, Brice, Will, Madie and Kobie.
