It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Kirkland Sr. (Rembert, South Carolina), who passed away on December 14, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. James E. Kirkland and Carolina Alston Kirkland Dennis; and his wife Louise Dinkins Kirkland. He is survived by: his stepfather Freddie Dennis, Sr.; and his children, Albert (Denise) of Sumter, Gladys Martin of Sumter, Dorothy Brooks (Jimmy) of Wedgefield, Thomas Jr. of Rembert and Ruby Maxine Blair of Rembert. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; twenty eight great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild; one step daughter; five sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
In accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting that face mask and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitations at the home 5240 Dais Road, Rembert.
