He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Kenneth and Ethel Bullock Ard; his grandson Sawyer Ard; and his brother Michael Timothy Ard. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Huggins Ard; his children, Jennifer Ard Rogers (Calvin) of Sumter, Samuel Kenneth Ard, III (Meredith) of Elgin and Matthew Timothy Olin Ard of Blythewood; his grandchildren, Sam, Sutton and Cam; and his brothers, Anthony William Ard (Elizabeth) of Irmo and William Jeffrey Ard (Karen) of Augusta, GA..
