He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas A. Burgess and Avie B. Burgess. He is survived by: his sisters, Marie Martin of Cassopolis, MI, Lillie Vaughn of Yonkers, Shirley King of Bronx, N. Y. and Shelby B. Carter of Sumter; and his nephews, Joe Joe and Blake Edwards. He is also survived by other nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
In accordance with the COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting no visitation at the home.
