We are sad to announce that on May 16, 2020, at the age of 59, Lener Mickens Winn (Rembert, South Carolina), born in Sumter, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She is survived by: her mother Fannie Mickens of Rembert; her brothers, Elder Rickey Mickens (Delores) of Rembert, William Gholson (Stephanie) of Sumter, Larry Gholson (Lacey) of Sumter and Barry Gholson (Tawana) of Sumter; her children, Barbara Mickens Hickman (Stanford) of Bishopville, Samuel Winn and George Winn (Angel) of Sumter; her cousin Tyrone Williams; her aunt Betty James of Rembert; her uncles, James Mickens of Rembert and Garfield Mickens of Philadelphia, PA; and her sisters-in-law, Julia Mickens and Naomi Mickens. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Due to COVID-19 guidelines, a private graveside service will be held at 11 a. m., Saturday, May 23, 2020 at New Beginning Outreach Ministry, 4660 Thomas Sumter Highway, Dalzell, with Elder Rickey Mickens, pastor, officiating, eulogist.
