He is survived by: his children, Roger Mickens (Jennett), Marilyn Gardner (Wesley), Kathy Sanders (Curtis), Ricky Mickens, Stacy Mickens of Rembert, Mizell Mickens (Karen) of Sumter, Quincy Mickens (Faye) and Jamie Mickens of Atlanta, Georgia.; his grandsons, Roger V. Mickens (Victoria) of Atlanta and Robert Williams (Jackie) of Cassatt; his brothers, Garfield Jones Mickens of Philadelphia, Joseph Osborne of Rembert and Elijah Osborne of New Jersey; his siblings-in-law, Lena B. Williams of Washington, DC, Bertha Daniels of Sumter, Maggie Osborne of Rembert, Lloyd Daniels of Sumter and Theodore Portee of Rembert; and his friends, Chief Deputy Hampton Gardner, Leroy, Beulah Dennis, Tracey Grant, George Alexander, Sammie Sanders, Larry Davis, Charles Outing, Daniel Grant, Ashley Ali-Osman and Sheriff Anthony Dennis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives.
In accordance with the COVID 19 guidelines, the family is requesting no visitation at the home.
