It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Evelyn Sanders McLeod of Rembert, South Carolina, born in Sumter, South Carolina, who passed away on November 6, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Sanders and Helen Young-Sanders; her husband Davis McLeod; and her children, Francis McLeod, Genell Wheatley and Susan Voss.
She is survived by: her children, Melvin McLeod (Lisa), John McLeod (Janet) of Rembert, SC, Jessie Hunter of Rembert, SC, Lula Mae McLeod of Rembert, SC and Delores Mickens of Rembert, SC; her granddaughter Jacinta Alston (Delvin) of Sumter, SC; and her great grandchild Jaden Alston of Sumter, SC. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives, cousins, nephews, nieces, & friends.
In accordance with the COVID-19 guideline precautions, the family is requesting face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during visitation at the home.
