He was predeceased by: his parents, William Oscar and Minnie Hartzog Shuler of Virginia; and his brother Kitt L. Shuler. He is survived by: his wife Pam Fender Shuler; his stepmother Mary B. Shuler; his children, Jill Shuler (Alex) and Denny Shuler (Elizabeth); and his grandchildren, Cohen, Hollis Shuler, Ella Grace and Garrett Mozingo.
