He was predeceased by: his mother Evelyn Syphrett. He is survived by: his siblings, Vivian Green (Harry), Bertha Perry (Ulysses), Cynthia Simmons (Nathaniel), Ruth Walker (Phillip) and David Syphrett (Christine); his sisters-in-law, Betty Joyner, Lilly Smith, Valerie Smith, Thomasena Smith and Sovonia Smith; and his children, Jermiah Reeves, Jr., Travis Reeves (April), Sheron Reeves and Roosevelt Reeves (Amanda). He is also survived by his loving wife, his children, his grandchildren, his siblings, a host of aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

His contributions to his church and community will never be forgotten.
