He was predeceased by: his parents, William Addison and Viola Lee Hartzog Walters; and his siblings, W. Calhoun Walters, L. Richard Walters, David L. "Bub" Walters, Gladys W. Collins and Adell W. Collins.
He is survived by: his son Edward Ernest Walters, Jr. (Angelique Britt Walters) of Reevesville; his grandchildren, Tyler William Walters (Lillian Taylor Walters) of Reevesville, Grant Andrew Walters of Columbia and Britt Annice Walters of Reevesville; his siblings-in-law, Marcia Barrs Jackson of Ridgeville and William Lane Barrs of Atlanta, GA; and his niece Sarah Smoak Bird (Brandon) of Charlotte, NC.
