He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Dewey Tyler and Carrie Allison Cummings Tyler. He is survived by: his wife Janice Yvonne Clayton Tyler; and his children, James Tyler, II (Ashlee) of Satellite Beach, FL, Jeffery P. Tyler (Sabrina) of Brevard, NC, Toree Buford (Richard) of Charleston and Holly Hunt (Stephen) of Charleston. He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
