He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucas S. Newton and Mary Ann Postell Newton; and his sisters, Mary Ann Sharp and Merle Miller. He is survived by: his wife Ethel; his daughters, Joy Newton of Ravenel, Jennifer Gaskins (Norman) of Ravenel and Danielle Newton of Ravenel; his siblings, Pearl Connor of Summerville, SC and Sanford Newton (Rose) of Cottageville, SC; and his grandchildren, Rebecca Gaskins and Wyatt Gaskins. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
