It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Troxel Sligh of Prosperity, South Carolina, who passed away on December 27, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her spouse Thomas Claude Sligh; her parents, James Hartford and Lula Mae Wicker Berley; and her siblings, Mildred Fowler, Everette Berley, Harvey Berley and Billy Berley.
She is survived by: her children, James T. Sligh (Renee) of Prosperity, Barbara Long (Roger) of Prosperity and Donna Frick (Cary) of Little Mountain; her siblings, Shirley Riley of West Columbia and Donald Berley of Prosperity; her grandchildren, Eddie Long, Jamie Long, Derek Frick, Nicole Clark and Joshua Sligh; and her close friends, Melissa Lee, Tina Bowers and Daniel Long. She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Newberry Memorial Gardens (15127 C R Koon Hwy, Newberry, SC 29108).
