She is survived by: her husband Alton E. Lake; her children, Janice Hallman (Benny) of Chapin, Tony Lake (Doris) of Saluda and Kevin Lake (Connie) of Saluda; her grandchildren, Kenny Hallman, Deena Bedenbaugh (Hannon), Courtney Lake, Jessica Reyes (Eduardo), Brent Lake (Kalyn) and Jordan Lake; her great grandchildren, Adon, Camden, Edith Mae Hallman, Logan Reyes, Jacob of Mary Joyce and Oakley Lake; and her sister Mary Frances Hembree of Newberry.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 2nd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McSwain-Evans Funeral Home (1234 Main St, Newberry, SC 29108). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the St Peter Lutheran Church (900 Dreher Island Rd, Chapin, SC 29036). A graveside service was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 at the Newberry Memorial Gardens (15127 C R Koon Hwy, Newberry, SC 29108).
