Ruff of Prosperity, South Carolina, born in Elizabethton, Tennessee, who passed away at the age of 94, on October 19, 2020. He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Delaney and Leila Chappell Ruff; his former wife Mary Frances Cobb "Cootsie" Ruff; his son Raymond Michael "Mike" Ruff; his stepson Richard Davis Stackely; and his siblings, Leila Ruff Hallman, Johnny Ruff and Claude Ruff.

He is survived by: his wife Sara Gatch Stackley Ruff; his children, Robert Timothy "Tim" Ruff (Patti) of Irmo and Emily Patrice "Patti" Ruff Smyer (Bill) of Edisto Beach; his daughter-in-law Kathy Ruff of Chapin; his stepchildren, John Melvin "Jay" Stackley of Clover, James Raymond "Ray" Stackley (Lane) of Moncks Corner, Charles Christopher "Chris" Stackley (Lyann) of Ladson and Sara Stackley Wier (Mac) of Barnwell; and his stepdaughter-in-law Fifi Stackley of Gilbert. He is also survived by twenty six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
