He is survived by: his wife Olivia Wicker Pitts; his children, Jerome Bates, Paul Pitts, Jr., Nathaniel Dansby (Lydia), Clyde Cunningham (Catherine), Dennis Cunningham (Renee), Robert Cunningham (Angela), Margaret Ferguson (Michael), Paula Bates and Amy Bates; his siblings, Rebecca Pitts of Prosperity, SC, Theresa Rikard, Margaret Pitts of Little Mountain, SC and Lamont Pitts of Columbia, SC; his siblings-in-law, Beaman Wicker (Elsie), Lillie Corley, Pastor Sallie Joe, Bertha Wicker and Judy Wicker; and his friends, Mike Lanford and Willie Bates.
All in attendance are required to wear a mask or face covering and to practice social distancing.
