He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Marilyn Jernigan Wood and Michael Charles Wood, Sr.; his wife Jennifer Elizabeth Wood; his sons, Brandon Wood and Alexander Wood; his brother William Wood of Aiken; his parents-in-law, David and Karen Hughes of Newberry; his niece Jennifer L. Wood of Aiken; and his siblings-in-law, Steven Alexander, Chad Alexander, John Hughes and Amy Hughes (Richard Mercer).
