He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Bruce Davis and Saluda Bell Starnes Davis; his daughter Dee Anne Davis; and his brothers, Larry, Olin and Dickie Davis.

He is survived by: his wife Sondra Whitaker Davis; his daughter Deana Lovette (Keith); his granddaughters, Alexis and Claire Lovette; his sister Carolyn Rebecca Florence; his daughter Angee Gause (Dale); and his granddaughters, Meda and Mariah Gause.
