She was predeceased by: her husband Walter Barron Meetze; her parents, Jack Shivers and Almond OKelley Shivers; and her sister Jacqueline Margo Shivers Wessinger. She is survived by: her children, Jack Barron Meetze of Prosperity, James Anthony "Jimmy" Meetze (Tanya) of Mt. Pleasant, Victoria Lei, Kelly of Prosperity and Sheryl Anne Wright (Timmy) of Leesville; her sister Cynthia Anne Shivers Stewart of Prosperity; and her grandchildren, Kristie Lei Peterson (Jason), Lucas Barron Meetze (Crissy), Michael Anthony Meetze (Sarah), Jessica Katheryn Meetze, Samantha Anne Wright, Corbin James Meetze and Carolena Grace Meetze. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
The family suggests that in her memory and in honor of her best friend, Shadow, memorials be made to the Newberry Humane Society, PO Box 485, Newberry, SC 29108.
