He is survived by: his wife Mary Katherine Riser Black; his sisters, Karen Lowman (Kenny) and Jenny P. Black; his niece Caroline E. Lowman; his great-nephew Jaxson Mattison; his sister-in-law Robin Riser Whitlock (Scott); his nephew William Ross Whitlock; and his aunt Jane Black.
