She was predeceased by: her parents, Obie Hare and Daisy Davis Hare; her husband Kenneth Samuel; and her siblings, Alma Williams and Obie Hare, Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Shonda Samuel-Holley (Eric) and Kendrick Samuel (Tahisha); her sister Patricia H. Clamp of Newberry, SC; her grandson Darius Lane; and her sisters-in-law, Kathy Brooks, Phyllis Ruff and Henrietta Samuel. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
