He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas H. Kunkle and Mattie Boozer Kunkle; his wife Amanda V. Kunkle; and his siblings, J. Ellis Kunkle, Fred H. Kunkle, Kathleen K. Lester, Laura K. Fellers, Bonnie K. Foy and Bettie Kunkle.
He is survived by: his sons, Henry M. Kunkle, Jr. and Thomas Willie Kunkle; his grandchildren, Amanda Jean Caron (Josh), Matthew H. Kunkle, Kaitlin Desjardins (Joseph) and Frank W. Kunkle; and his great grandchild Noah Daniel Desjardins.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Whitaker Funeral Home – Newberry (1704 College St, Newberry, SC 29108). Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the St. Luke's Lutheran Church (4056 St Lukes Church Rd, Prosperity, SC 29127). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
