She was predeceased by: her parents, Roland Merchant and Nannie Bell "Sue" Quattlebaum Merchant; and her siblings, Dot Givens, Allene "Ennie" Cook and David Merchant.
She is survived by: her children, Christine Fisher of Greenville, Janice Skalicky (Mark) of Greenville, Linda H. Clark of Newberry and Wayne Rister (Karin) of Newberry; and her grandchildren, Kent Haltiwanger, Shannon Murphy, Lauren Dillard, Jay Haltiwanger, Jody Haltiwanger, Shawn Barbare, Sherry Galbraith, Chris Rister, Jaime Browning, Amber Morgan and Ameila Skalicky. She is also survived by twenty-five great-grandchildren.
