It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gene Counts of Prosperity, South Carolina, who passed away on July 15, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Boyd "Red" and Nell Long Counts; his brothers, Jimmy R. Counts and Von L. Counts; his niece Alicia Counts; and his great-nephew Cameron.

He is survived by: his siblings, Rachel Counts of Prosperity and Wayne B. Counts (Mary Grace) of Americus, GA; his niece Alice Counts; his nephews, Ronald Counts and Wayne B. Counts, Jr. (Diana); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Tara Lawson (David), Nell White, Kayley Counterman (Noble), Dalton Counts (LeAnn) and David Counts; and also, Mason, Reid, Little Gene, Remy, Lauren and Leah.
