She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Franklin Killian II and Nina Bass Killian; her husband William S. Heaton Sr.; and her grandson Parker. She is survived by: her children, William Heaton Jr. (Dana) and Leah Maas (Chris); her grandchildren, Alec Ayers, Liam, Nate, Sam Heaton, Daniel, Nicole Wiles, Kyle and Dylan Maas; and her brother Edward Franklin Killian III (Myrna).

At the beginning of the Covid pandemic – when masks were scarce – she somehow located large quantities of very limited materials and handmade over four hundred masks for frontline health workers.

In lieu of flowers, and per her request, donations may be made to Parker Killian Gives Moore in her name.
