He was predeceased by: his father Alexander McKay; his daughter Jean McKay; and his sisters, Pat Reardon and Sue Cowan. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Elizabeth Pelke McKay; and his children, Scott McKay (Jean), Andrew McKay (Amy), Nathan McKay, Colin McKay, Kimberly West (Ed) and Harrieshia McKay. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren.
