She was predeceased by: her parents, George Swygert and Quilla Swygert; her husband Richard Lawson of Swansea, SC.; her sister Gladys; her pet Mary Ruth Fickling (Cotton); and her brothers, Henry Swygert (Jack), Franklin Swygert (Doc) and Jesse Swygert (Bill).
She is survived by: her son Alan Lawson (Joy); her grandchildren, Brandi Wicker (Ryan) and Justin Hyler; her great grandchildren, Braylynn, Briceson, Brooklyn, Chance (Irene Derrick), Burt, Angela Ferris, Danny and Benita Tipton; and her sisters, Virginia Taylor (Roy), Dorothy Spires (Doodle), Martha and Wright.
