She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Easley Mixon and Janie Elizabeth Pye Mixon; and her husband Melvin Herbert Carroll, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Judith Ann West, Carmen Lynn Stout (Steve), Melvin H. Carroll, Jr. (Deb) and Troy D. White (Kathy); her grandchildren, Tracy Iannuzzi, Melvin Carroll, III, Keiva Seamon, Brian Cowart, Craig Stout, Jenny Carroll and Tara Carroll; her great grandchildren, Tori Iannuzzi, Jillian White and Korie Nicole Seamon; and her nieces, Lena and Sandy.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Whitaker Funeral Home - Chapin (939 Chapin Rd, Chapin, SC 29036). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Wednesday, February 5th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Crescent Hill Cemetery (2603 Two Notch Rd, Columbia, SC 29204).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Park Road Baptist Church, 360 State Park Road, Prosperity, SC 29127; and or a local humane society of your choice.
