He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Margaret Roebuck Hilfer; his children, Richard, Jr. (Mary) of Port Townsend, WA, Robert Hilfer of Macedonia, OH and Susan Hilfer of Beaufort, SC; his grandchildren, Megan Hilfer (Jeff Stilwell) and Mike Hilfer (Kerry Murphy); and his great grandchild Finley Stilwell. He was also cherished by niece and two nephews.
