With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kay Ellen Potenza of Port Royal, South Carolina, born in Berwyn, Illinois, who passed away on May 8, 2022 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Plagge and Marguerite Nielsen Plagge. She is survived by: her husband Thomas Potenza; her son Jared Thomas Potenza; her grandchildren, Sara Potenza and Aiden Wegener; her daughters, Jennifer Kate Wegener (Wegener) and Meghan Edith Potenza; her sisters, Laurel Ann Plagge and Marsha Lynn Dudley; and her grandchildren, Sara Jennifer Potenza and Aiden Jared Wegener.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations can be made to the United Methodist Volunteers in Mission, Backpack Buddies, Help of Beaufort or the Beaufort County Animal Shelter.
