It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Florence Howard Black (Port Royal, South Carolina), who passed away on August 5, 2019, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Evelina Simmons and Clarence Howard; her grandmother Nellie Strobert; her husband Deacon Thomas B. Black, Sr.; her son Thomas B. Black, Jr.; and her grandson Gerard Woodley.
She is survived by: her daughters, Geraldine, LaVerne, Florence and Joyce; her sister Clara Howard Hamilton; her nephew Dr. Sidney Black; and her nieces, Denise Jones and Peggy Strobert. She is also survived by eight grandchildren ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
