It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilford Moates of Pomaria, South Carolina, born in Newberry, South Carolina, who passed away on January 19, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Thomas Walter and Sara Alice Franklin Moates; his daughters, Phyllis Jackson (Henry) of Pomaria and Connie Pearson (Keith) of Pomaria; his grandchildren, Jesse Pearson (Haley), Shanna Gallman (Andy) and Brandi Corley (Josh); his great grandchildren, Taryn Gallman, Brooks Gallman, Katelyn Pearson, Tyler Pearson, Jacob Brown, Havan Brown, Noah Moates, Alleigh Corley and Ember Corley; and his sister Delene Cannon.
Due to COVID 19 a private family graveside will be held at 4:00 pm Thursday, January 21, 2021, at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery, by the Rev. Brent Nichols.
