He was predeceased by: his parent William Horace; and his brother Horace N. "Nickie" Kinard. He is survived by: his parent Mary Richardson Kinard; his wife Janet Murphy Kinard; his sons, Jeffrey Kinard (Lisa) and Douglas Kinard; his brother Harvey Kinard of Newberry; and his granddaughters, Allyson Marie Buchanan (Eric), Stephanie Leigh Kinard and Julie Ann Kinard.
