It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Shealy Boyd of Pomaria, South Carolina, who passed away on March 28, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Marion and Alice Epting Shealy of Pomaria; and her husband Col. Hugh King Boyd, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, James Francis Boyd (Judy), Hugh King Boyd III (Loretta), William David Boyd (Marianne) and Alice Boyd Smith (Patrick); and her sister Evelyn Dolittle. She is also survived by five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
