It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Clara Sue Waites of Pomaria, South Carolina, born in Newberry, South Carolina, who passed away on August 6, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Kenneth B. Waites; her parents, Carl C. Snelgrove, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Sligh Snelgrove; her son Grady Carson Waites; her friend Frankie Edward Sease; and her sister-in-law Judy Amick Snelgrove.
She is survived by: her sons, K. Randall Waites (Betty Richardson) and Keith Waites; her daughter-in-law Victoria Boozer Waites of Spartanburg; her grandchildren, Dr. Jessica Waites Wilkes (Eric) and Austin Brady Waites (Tori Sorrels); her great grandchildren, Dawson Noel Waites and Clara Katherine Waites; her siblings, Carl C. Snelgrove of Chapin and Margaret Snelgrove Williams (Jim) of Chapin; her aunt Connie Snelgrove Burkett of Batesburg; and her close friend Katie. She is also survived by nephews and nieces.
