It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Porteaner Y. Nance (Pinewood, South Carolina), born in Charleston, South Carolina, who passed away on January 12, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Porteaner had on those she encountered along her journey. She was predeceased by: her husband Carlton Nance; and her parents, Richard Smith and Annie Brown Smith.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Whites Mortuary (517 N Guignard Dr, Sumter, SC 29150). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church (10075 Calvary Church Rd, Pinewood, SC 29125). A burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at the Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery (10075 Calvary Church Rd, Pinewood, SC 29125).
