He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen Capers and Epsie Stukes Capers. He is survived by: his children, Jonathan Grinnell of Sumter and Janna Grinnell of Sumter; his siblings, Anna Dudley of Decatur, Betty Capers of Sumter, Willie Capers (Rosa) of Pinewood and James Capers of Sumter; his brother-in-law Harry Lee Spann of Sumter; and his close friend Denise Grinnell. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
In accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines, the family is requesting face masks and social distancing be observed by relatives and friends during all visitation at the home, 127 Jackson Street, Sumter.
