He is survived by: his parents, Herbert Sumpter and Helen Sumpter (Joseph Simmons); his children, Fatima Johnson (Latarsha), Dewayne D, Shaniyah H. Johnson and Trayvon Walters (Syreeta); his siblings, Monica R. Sumpter, Kristal Johnson, Candiss Johnson, Jericka Johnson, Jessica Johnson, Herbert Abraham and Huggins; and his stepsiblings, Carol Simmons, Albertha Simmons, Cathy Simmons, Joseph Simmons, Jr. and Shecretia Simmons. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Shuler-Marshall Funeral Home (1235 Unity Rd, Holly Hill, SC 29059). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Shady Grove Family Life Center (9140 Charleston Hwy, St George, SC 29477).
