It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walt Burris in Piedmont, South Carolina, born in Stanley, North Carolina, who passed away on June 4, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter P. Burris and Mary Burris Burris; his son Jerod Anthony Burris; and his brothers, Johnny Darrell Burris and Marvin E. Burris.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Thatcher Burris; his children, Tori Inkley of Cedar Grove, NJ, Kip Burris of Fort Benning, GA and Jeff Jones (Karen) of Rock Hill; his grandchildren, Zachary, Kiersten, Maddie, Kaleib and Kinsey; and his sister Kay Shephard of Rockingham, NC..
A memorial service will be held at a later date due to COVID-19.
