She was predeceased by: her parents, John D Moody and Cleo Totherow Moody; and her siblings, Jeanette, Katherine and John.
She is survived by: her husband Robert L Brakefield, Sr.; and her sons, Robert L Brakefield, Jr. of Easley, SC, David M Brakefield (Candee) of Rock Hill, SC and Reid Brakefield (Mica) of Rock Hill, SC. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mrs. Brakefield's name to South Carolina Baptist Convention, Cooperative Program, PO Box 29221-2999, Columbia, SC 29221-2999.
