She was predeceased by: her parents, Major L. Higgins and Edna Mae Sherman Higgins; and her brother Jimmy Blackston. She is survived by: her godchildren, Nic, Brittany Acosta and Jonathan Spearman; her sister Donna Spearman (Jeff); and her grandchildren, Amberly Kerr, Ava, Aubri Spearman, Ryan and Arianna Acosta.
Due to Covid-19, the family requests that masks be worn, and social distancing observed.
