With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sarah Martha McLeod Goforth (Piedmont, South Carolina), born in McBee, South Carolina, who passed away on August 13, 2019 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Cary McLeod and Annie Spaugh McLeod; her husband Harry B. Goforth Sr.; her son Tom Goforth; her granddaughter Chelsea Wright; and her siblings, Cary McLeod, Jr., Bob McLeod, John McLeod, Campbell McLeod, Walker McLeod and Mary M. Martin.
She is survived by: her children, Harry B. Goforth Jr. (Diana) of London, England, Nancy Neely (Bill) of Columbia, Martha Blackwell (Britt) of Rock Hill and Mary Lou Wright of Weaverville, NC; and her grandchildren, Reuben Goforth, Will Neely, Alex Goforth, Adam Neely, Matt Neely, Christina Williams, Sarah Wright and Phillip Blackwell. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
