He was predeceased by: his parents, Millard Orville Carter, Sr. and Gladys Poole Carter; his brother David Allen Carter; and his daughter Susan Wike Kuratz. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca Wike Carter; his daughter Venetia Antoinette Carter Reebel of Beaufort, SC; his grandson Phillip Eavan Joshua Reebel of Beaufort, SC; his brother Victor Todd Carter (Elsa) of Greenville, SC; his nieces, Laura Carter Merrill (Jon) and Lila Carter (William Robinson); and his nephew Todd Carter (Monica).
