He was predeceased by: his spouse Shelby Jean Whitlock Davis; his parents, James Russell Davis, Sr. and Essie Mae Bayne Davis; his brothers, Harold, Tommy, Marion and Charlie Davis; and his grandson Mitchell Davis.
He is survived by: his son Stephen A. "Tony" Davis of Piedmont; his brother Wayne Davis of Waterloo; and his grandson Terry Davis of Williamston.
