She was predeceased by: her parents, Julius C. Humphries and Edith Harrill Humphries; her husband Rev. Gary D. Smith; her sons, Gary D. Smith, Jr. and Kevin E. Smith, Sr.; and her sister Jo Ann Humphries.
She is survived by: her son Daniel "Danny" Smith (Teresa) of Chester; her stepson Jimmy W. Osment (Glenda); her daughters-in-law, Darlene Osment, Ann Smith and Amy Smith; and her siblings, Doris H. Painter (Drayton) of Gaffney, Eleanor H. Dempsey (Charles) of Louisa, Elaine H. Dobbins (Donnie) of Gaffney and J. C. Humphries (Gail) of Gaffney. She is also survived by 9 grand-children and 12 great-grand-children.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made in memory of Mrs. Osment to Parkway Baptist Church, PO Box 1227, Chester, SC 29706.
