It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary Rainey (Piedmont, South Carolina), born in Anderson, South Carolina, who passed away on January 3, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleo Rainey and Mary Cecil Rhodes Rainey; and his sister Sue Stringer. He is survived by: his children, Debbie Porter (Ricky) of Easley, Donnie Rainey of Anderson and Shannon Hood of Anderson; his siblings, Bud Rainey (Gatha) of Williamston and Brenda Collins (Eddie) of Williamston; his granddaughters, Brianna and Elizabeth Porter; and his close friend Linda Vaughn. He is also survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Due to Covid-19, the family requests that masks be worn, and social distancing observed.
